Not the official website

For darshan tickets, sevas, prasadam, donations and official announcements, use the official temple website or the temple counters. We don’t sell tickets or collect money on behalf of the temple, and anyone claiming to do so for us is not connected with this site.

Information can change

Temple timings, festival schedules, transport and prices change, sometimes at short notice. We check our information against the sources listed on each page, but we can’t guarantee it is current. Please verify important timings and festival dates with official sources before travelling.

Calculated dates

Pournami windows and some festival dates are calculated or taken from published calendars, and are labelled accordingly. They can differ from official announcements or printed panchangams by minutes, and occasionally by a day.

Maps and distances

Map positions come from OpenStreetMap contributors and are approximate. Distances and travel times are estimates, not live traffic data.

Religious content

Legends and beliefs are presented as religious tradition. Nothing on this site is medical, legal or financial advice.

Health and safety

Girivalam and hill walks are physically demanding. Consult a doctor if you have any health condition, and follow the instructions of the temple, the police and the forest authorities.
